Retired Mentor Overview
The Retired Contractor consultant service Mentors enter into an MOU with the Protégé and maintain a work plan to assure and document satisfactory performance by the Protégé.
Retired contractors are utilized for consulting services. The mentors assist the protege with moving into non-traditional areas of work and/or gaining the skills and experience necessary to compete in the marketplace outside the DB/DBE program via the provision of training and assistance.
A provisional specification was developed to provide line-item reimbursement for the mentor’s services and any associated costs that must be directly attributable and properly allowable to specific individual contracts.
